History of the Dauki Union

The present Dauki Union was first formed under Chuadanga subdivision of Nadia district in about 1985 AD during the rule of Pakistan. At that time the chairman of the union was called the union panchayat. The name of the first panchayat head was Md. Safayetul Islam, one of the organizers of the liberation war. 

He was a resident of the present village of Bademaju. He held the post from 1965 to 30-04-1971. Babu Ranjit Kuman Biswas was the first chairman during the war of liberation and after independence. At present Dauki Union consists of 11 small and big villages.
